på Sletta i Radøy kommune vart offisielt opna 4. juli 1997.

Vestnorsk utvandringssenter inneheld Emigrantkyrkja, Brampton Lutheran
Church, henta frå Nord Dakota i USA. Eit utvandrararkiv for Hordaland og
Sogn og Fjordane høyrer til senteret, og der er reist 4 bautasteinar knytt
til norskamerikansk historie og til den norske innsatsen i 2. verdskrigen.
Ein bautastein syner sambandet til Vesterhavsøyane. Det er og henta heim og
sett opp ei skulestove, ei nybyggjarstove, eit doktorkontor og ein
lærarbustad frå pionertida. Eit rådhus og fengsel vert opna 6.juli 2002.
Årleg utvandringsfestival helga nærast til 4.juli.
For 2002 er festivalen lagt til 5.-7.juli. Ta kontakt for program.

The West Norway Emigration Centre includes the emigrant church, Brampton
Lutheran Church, brought over from North Dakota in the USA and an
emigration archive for Hordaland and Sogn og Fjordane. 4 commemorative
stones have been erected in connection with North American history and the
Norwegian contribution during World War II. One stone shows the connection
to the Western Isles of Viking times. A schoolhouse, a pioneer's house,
schoolteacher's house and a doctor's surgery from pioneer times have also
been brought home and rebuilt. A town hall and a prison will be reopen July
6, 2002.
